This figure is about 88 percent of the total voters, which is a positive sign.

More than 35 lakh names will be deleted from the list

During this verification campaign, a large number of fake, dead, or double-registered voters have been identified. In the process so far, the Election Commission has admitted that the names of more than 35 lakh 69 thousand voters will be removed from the voter list.

  • 1.59% of voters were found dead.
  • 2.2% permanently changed their place of residence.
  • 0.73% of voters were found registered at more than one place.

Adding all these figures, the names of a total of 4.52% of voters are being removed, which is more than 35 lakh in number. The Commission is keeping an eye on those who have not submitted the form.

According to the Election Commission, there are still about 11.82% of voters, that is, about 93 lakh people, who have not yet submitted their counting form. The Commission has launched a big campaign to reach these people and include them in the list. The Commission clearly says that "every possible effort is being made to ensure that no eligible voter is left out."

Ready for the third phase of the survey

About 1 lakh BLOs (Booth Level Officers) are ready to carry out this task. Soon they will start the third phase of the door-to-door survey. Along with this, 1.5 lakh BLAs (Booth Level Agents) of political parties are also playing an active role in this process. With this collaborative working style, a big step is being taken towards making the voter list more transparent, updated, and fair.

Special camps in 5683 wards of cities

Special camps are being organized in 5683 wards of all 261 urban bodies of Bihar. The purpose of these camps is to reach those people who have been left out of the survey for some reason or want to make changes in their registration. Apart from this, awareness campaigns are also being run for voters who have temporarily gone out of the state so that they can also fill their forms on time.

The draft voter list will be published on August 1

After this entire process, the draft of the voter list will be published on August 1, 2025. After the release of the draft list, the work of final amendment and disposal of objections will also start.
