Bihar government has issued new directives to streamline land registry and mutation processes. Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha emphasized timely completion of all applications, strict accountability of officials, and digital standardization through e-measuring systems.
No Delay or Negligence Allowed in Land Registration
Patna: To address problems like delays, bureaucratic hurdles, and corruption in land-related matters in Bihar, the government has issued new guidelines. Deputy Chief Minister and Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha stated in a departmental review meeting that the land mutation process will now be completed within a fixed timeframe. He warned officials that action would be taken in case of any negligence.
Sinha appealed to the public to apply for registration within 90 days. He said that the government's new system would save people from the old hassles of visiting police stations and courts, and land-related work would be completed easily and quickly.

Important decisions were also taken regarding the e-measurement system during the meeting. The minister said that a standard format would now be mandatory. Sinha gave clear instructions to the officials that immediate action should be taken on public complaints and that no laxity or negligence would be tolerated. He said that transparency and accountability would now be ensured in every land-related work.
