Massive IAS reshuffle in Bihar; Key changes in education, health and urban development

According to the order, all officers have been directed to take charge of their new assignments with immediate effect. Some officials have also been given additional responsibilities as part of the reshuffle.

Patna: In a major administrative reshuffle, the Bihar government has transferred 16 IAS officers and assigned new responsibilities to several senior officials across key departments, including Urban Development, Education, Health, Energy and Rural Development.

The General Administration Department has issued a notification regarding the transfers. According to the order, all officers have been directed to take charge of their new assignments with immediate effect. Some officials have also been given additional responsibilities as part of the reshuffle.

Animesh Parashar Gets Additional Charge

Animesh Parashar, a 2010-batch IAS officer and Managing Director of the Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation, has been given additional charge as Secretary of the Urban Development and Housing Department.

Shirshat Kapil Ashok, a 2011-batch IAS officer, has been appointed Managing Director of COMPFED. Nilesh Ramchandra Deore has also been given additional charge as Special Secretary of the Urban Development and Housing Department.

Key Postings Across Departments

Naval Kishore Chaudhary has been appointed Managing Director of Bihar State Transmission Company Limited, Patna. Navdeep Shukla has been made Secretary of the Youth Employment and Skill Development Department.

Pawan Kumar Sinha has been appointed Special Secretary of the Higher Education Department, while Saurabh Jorwal has been given additional charge of Bihar State Road Development Corporation Limited. Kumar Mangalam has been appointed Secretary of the Board of Revenue.

Changes in Education, Health and Energy Sectors

Prashant Kumar CH has been appointed Project Director of the Bihar Education Project Council. Vishal Raj has been made Managing Director of Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited.

Sparsh Gupta has been appointed Additional Executive Director of the State Health Society, Patna.

Other Important Appointments

Shreshtha Anupam has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Finance Department. Abhishek Palasiya has been made Joint Secretary of the Road Construction Department, while Pradeep Singh has been appointed Joint Secretary of the Tourism Department.

Kumar Nishant Vivek has been appointed Director of Primary Education, Bihar. Ananya Singh has been made Additional Chief Executive Officer of Jeevika under the Rural Development Department. She has also been given additional charge as Commissioner of MGNREGA.

Orders Effective Immediately

The government has said that all transfers and new postings will take effect immediately. The reshuffle is being seen as a significant move to strengthen administrative coordination and improve the functioning of key departments in Bihar.
