New Delhi: Gold and silver prices in India are showing relative stability today, despite strong global headwinds, while local demand ahead of the festive season keeps investor sentiment intact. The gold October 3 contract on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) opened with a fall of Rs 86 at Rs 1,12,469 per 10 grams against the previous close of Rs 1,12,555.
Prices weakened further in early trade, touching an intraday low of Rs 1,12,182, marking a fall of Rs 373. The contract later recovered some ground but was last seen trading at Rs 1,12,321 per 10 grams, still down by Rs 234 or 0.21%.
