Karnataka: Pallavi, the wife of the DGP, was searching for how a person could die by cutting the veins and blood vessels of his neck. Reports say that this search was made five days before the murder took place.

A shocking revelation has emerged in the murder case of retired DGP Om Prakash. According to a Dynamite News correspondent, the DGP’s wife searched on Google to find out how a person could die by slitting the nerves and blood vessels of his neck.

The police have made no official statements regarding this matter. However, they have booked the wife and daughter for the murder of the Karnataka ex-DGP, and interrogations are ongoing.

What's the case?

According to reports, there was a heated argument between Om Prakash and his wife on Sunday afternoon. The reason for the dispute is said to be differences over property. It is being said that Om Prakash had transferred a part of his property to one of his relatives, due to which his wife was very angry.

The argument escalated to such an extent that the matter reached violence. Police investigation has revealed that during the argument, the wife threw chilli powder on Om Prakash, tied him up and attacked him several times with a sharp weapon.

Not only this, he was also attacked with a glass bottle, due to which Om Prakash was seriously injured and died on the spot.

Who was Om Prakash?

Om Prakash not only held the top post of Karnataka Police, but he had an image across the country as a respected and sharp officer. He was originally from Champaran district of Bihar.

How was his career?

The former DGP had an M.Sc. degree in Geology. He joined the Indian Police Service (IPS) in 1981 after clearing the UPSC exam. During his career, he held important positions such as Superintendent of Police, DIG, IG, and ADG in several districts of Karnataka.

On March 1, 2015, he was appointed Director General of Police (DGP) of Karnataka. He retired from the police service in 2017 and was living with his family in Bengaluru since then.
