New Delhi: The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has reportedly claimed responsibility for two recent shooting incidents targeting Indian nationals in Portugal, issuing fresh threats through a viral social media post.
The message allegedly warned the victims that the “next shot” would be fatal if demands were not met.
According to the post, an operative identifying himself as Rahul RK Meena of the Sunil Meena Gang took responsibility for the attacks on behalf of an alliance of criminal groups operating internationally.
The statement referred to a recent shooting incident at the residence of Gurpreet Singh Gill in Vila Nova de Milfontes, Portugal, and another attack on Gurdeep Singh in Sintra on May 6.

The post claimed that the earlier shootings were carried out as a warning and threatened further violence if the targets failed to comply with the syndicate’s demands.
It also asserted that the criminal network operates across multiple countries and warned that fleeing deeper into Europe would not ensure safety.
The social media message included references to several alleged affiliated groups, including the Sunil Meena Gang, Rahul Dubey Gang, and Aman Sahu Gang, suggesting coordination among multiple organised crime networks.

Investigators are now examining whether the incidents are linked to a broader transnational extortion racket targeting overseas Indians.
Authorities in Portugal, along with international law enforcement agencies, are reportedly monitoring the matter and investigating the cross-border criminal activities linked to the syndicates.
Officials have not yet publicly confirmed the authenticity of the social media claims, and the investigation remains ongoing.
