New Delhi: A so-called 'Baba' named 'Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati', posing as a religious leader, committed obscene acts and sexually assaulted young women at a private management institute in Vasant Kunj, a posh area of the capital, Delhi. Police investigations have revealed that the Baba targeted at least 50 young women, mostly from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), through WhatsApp chats and calls.

The Dark Truth of Delhi's 'Fake Religious Leader'

Hundreds of obscene messages and threats recovered from these women's mobile phones have revealed that the accused Baba had been engaging in such activities for the past 16 years. His messages reveal promises, threats, and forced sexual intercourse. He would lure the girls with promises of foreign trips, or at other times, by threatening to give them low marks.

Accused Baba Swami Chaitanyanand Saraswati

Police say the accused's real name is Parthasarathi, a resident of Odisha. He held the position of "Director" at the Sri Sharada Institute of Indian Management. He had sent obscene messages to more than 50 women at the same institution. Previous cases of molestation and fraud were filed against him in 2009 and 2016, but he managed to escape each time.

The 'Baba' used to lure women with sweet words.

According to police sources, the 'Baba' initially lured women with sweet words, but when they failed, he would resort to blackmailing and intimidating them through mental pressure. Shockingly, the involvement of three female wardens has also been revealed in this entire network, who played a role in luring and threatening the girls for the Baba.

When this case came to light, the accused was in London. Seventeen women filed a complaint at the Defence Colony police station, after which the matter escalated. He was last seen in Agra.

Another case involves a Volvo sedan found at the ashram with a fake UN diplomatic license plate. Additionally, another fraud case has been filed against the Baba by the ashram, which expelled him following allegations of sexual harassment.

The institute is a branch of the Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetha, a prominent religious organization in South India, located in Sringeri. The institution has distanced itself from the accused, calling his actions "inappropriate."
