Mumbai: Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh is once again in the headlines, but this time the reason is not his film but the controversy related to it. People's sentiments are being hurt due to casting of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in the film, due to which protests against the film have started.
Seeing the situation, Diljit himself broke his silence on this matter and expressed his views in an interview given to BBC Asian Network and made it clear that he will no longer release the film in India.
Diljit Dosanjh said that the film was shot in February 2025, when the situation was normal and there was no tension in Indo-Pak relations. He said, "When this film was made, everything was fine. After that many big incidents happened which were not in our control. So the producers decided that now this film will not be released in India, but overseas." Diljit also said that he fully supports this decision of the producers, because a huge investment has been made in the film and the hard work of many people is involved.

Diljit's former manager Sonali Singh has also supported this decision of the actor. Writing a long post on Instagram, she said that Diljit kept the sentiments of the country paramount while suffering personal and financial losses. is.

‘Sardar Ji 3’ is directed by Amar Hundal and it will now be released on 27 June 2025 only in international theaters. It will not be screened in India.
