Washington DC: US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that the White House signed a deal with China a day ago, and another agreement may be coming up with India.

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick told Bloomberg TV that the deal was signed earlier this week. Neither Lutnick nor Trump provided any details about the agreement.

"We just signed with China the other day," Trump said late Thursday, skipping details.

Follow Up Of US-China Talks

The move follows the US-China talks in Geneva in early May that led both sides to postpone massive tariff hikes that were greatly hampering their economies, and threatened to freeze much trade between the two countries.

Framework In London Talks

Later talks in London set a framework for negotiations and the deal mentioned by Trump appeared to formalise that agreement.

"The President likes to close these deals himself. He's the dealmaker. We're going to have deal after deal," Lutnick said.

Beijing on its part did not say anything, though it did confirm that it was accelerating a review of export licence applications for rare earths and had approved "a certain number of compliant applications."

"Very Big" Deal With India

Trump further said that the US may sign a "very big" deal with India soon, though he did not state specifics.

“Where we're going to open up India, in the China deal, we're starting to open up China. Things that never really could have happened, and the relationship with every country has been very good,” Trump added.

Israel-Iran War: Trump For Peace

The US President Donald Trump has said that Iran will face more military strikes if peace does not come quickly.

Addressing the nation on Saturday evening, Trump said that Iran's key nuclear facilities had been "completely and totally obliterated," and that future attacks will be "far greater and a lot easier."

"If peace does not come quickly, we will go after those other targets with precision, speed and skill. Most of them can be taken out in a matter of minutes," he said.

"Our objective was the destruction of Iran's nuclear capacity," he said, calling the bombing a "spectacular" success.

Trump said that he decided a long time ago not to let Iran gain a nuclear weapon and that without peace, there will be "tragedy" for Iran that will far exceed what's taken place.

Top US military leaders will hold a news conference at 8:00 am (1200 GMT) Sunday morning, he said.
