Dubai: Air travel across Middle East faced major disruption after Emirates announced the temporary suspension of all flights to and from Dubai due to multiple regional airspace closures.

In a statement shared on social media, the airline said operations would remain suspended until 1500 hours UAE time on Monday, March 2, as authorities continue to monitor the evolving security situation in the region.

The decision comes amid rising tensions and safety concerns across several Middle Eastern countries, which have led to temporary restrictions on civilian airspace.

Options Offered to Affected Passengers

Emirates advised passengers scheduled to travel before or on March 5 to consider alternative arrangements. Travelers can rebook their flights to their intended destinations within 10 days of the original travel date.

Passengers who booked their tickets through travel agencies have been asked to contact their agents directly for assistance. Those who booked flights through Emirates can reach out to the airline’s customer support for rebooking options.

The airline also confirmed that passengers have the option to request a full refund by completing the official refund request form if their travel plans are affected.

Airline Urges Passengers to Check Flight Status

Emirates urged customers to check their flight status before heading to the airport to avoid unnecessary inconvenience. The airline has also asked travelers to ensure their contact information is updated on its website so they can receive timely notifications regarding schedule changes.

According to the airline, passengers whose flights were cancelled should coordinate with their travel agencies or Emirates directly to manage their bookings and receive updated travel information.
