Tehran: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed it carried out a fresh wave of attacks targeting Israel, marking a significant escalation as the ongoing conflict enters its 27th day.

According to Iranian state-linked outlet Tasnim News Agency, the IRGC launched “Wave 82” of its military operation at dawn on Friday. The assault reportedly involved a large-scale deployment of drones and missiles.

Strike on Nuclear infrastructure

The IRGC stated that the strikes were aimed at Israel’s military command and control centres, along with industrial facilities allegedly linked to its nuclear infrastructure. The targeted locations were said to be situated in the southern region near the Dead Sea.

Conflict Escalates

While the claims signal an intensification in Iran’s military posture and public messaging, there has been no immediate confirmation or response from Israeli authorities regarding the reported targets or damage.

The development underscores rising tensions in the region, with both sides stepping up rhetoric and military actions. Analysts warn that continued escalation could further destabilize the Middle East and increase the risk of a broader regional conflict.

One Indian dead, another injured by missile debris in Abu Dhabi

The Abu Dhabi Media Office said the two people killed in Thursday’s missile debris incident were of Indian and Pakistani nationality, after falling fragments from a successfully intercepted Iranian ballistic missile struck a street in the emirate.
In a post on X, officials said the three injured were of Emirati, Jordanian and Indian nationality, with injuries ranging from serious to moderate. The incident followed the interception of a ballistic missile by UAE air defences and has become one of the most serious civilian fallout cases in the Gulf during the current phase of the war.
