Washington: Donald Trump has once again taken a hardline stance on Iran, asserting that Tehran must return to the negotiating table or face severe consequences. Speaking during a phone interview on The John Fredericks Show, Trump expressed confidence that Iran would ultimately engage in diplomatic talks.

“They’re going to negotiate, and if they don’t, they’re going to see problems like they’ve never seen before,” Trump said, signaling a tough approach toward Tehran.

No Nuclear Weapon for Iran

Trump emphasized that his administration’s core objective remains preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. He stated that any future agreement must ensure that Tehran has “no access” to such capabilities.

“Hopefully, they’ll make a fair deal and rebuild their country, but they will not have a nuclear weapon,” he said, adding that allowing Iran to develop nuclear arms could pose a global threat.

Defense of Military Actions

Defending past military actions, Trump claimed that the United States had “no choice” but to act against Iran, portraying the decisions as necessary for global security. He further asserted that his administration had handled the situation effectively and expressed optimism about a resolution.

Renewed Threats

Trump also used his social media platform, Truth Social, to reinforce his position. In a series of posts within a short time frame, he warned that Iranian power plants could be targeted if negotiations fail.

He also highlighted the impact of “Operation Midnight Hammer,” which he described as a “complete and total obliteration” of Iran’s nuclear-related sites.
