New Delhi: The US President's tariff decision has affected almost every country globally. In recent times, Trump imposed a 50 percent tariff on India. He said that additional tariff is being imposed on India due to buying oil from Russia.

Meanwhile, the President has written a letter to NATO countries. In this letter, he has appealed to NATO countries to stop buying Russian oil and impose major sanctions on Russia to end the war in Ukraine. Not only this, he has also asked NATO nations to impose 50 to 100 percent tariff on China. China's reaction has come to light on this statement of Trump. The Chinese Foreign Minister has retaliated to Trump's statement.

What did China's Foreign Minister say?

China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi retaliated to Trump's comment and said that he is committed to promoting peace talks to resolve burning issues. The Chinese Foreign Minister said that war cannot solve problems and sanctions will complicate the problems.

According to the China Daily report, the Chinese Foreign Minister made these remarks on Saturday. He was addressing reporters after a meeting with Slovenia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon.

Do not participate in war but...: China

Wang Yi said that China never participates in wars nor plans war. Rather it encourages peace talks. He claimed that China has always been promoting political solutions to important issues through dialogue.

During this, the Chinese Foreign Minister also emphasized that today's international situation is full of intertwined chaos and constant conflicts.

'Europe should be China's friend'

According to a Global Times report, the Chinese Foreign Minister emphasized that China and Europe should be friends rather than rivals and should cooperate rather than confront each other. He said that making the right choice amid the biggest changes of the century reflects the responsibilities of both sides towards history and the public.

Trump appeals to NATO to impose 100 percent tariff on China

It is worth noting that US President Donald Trump wrote a letter to NATO countries. Through this letter, he said that everyone should stop buying oil from Russia. He wrote on his social media platform X that I believe that this and NATO's imposition of 50 to 100 percent tariff on China, which will be completely withdrawn after the war with Russia and Ukraine ends, will also help greatly in ending this deadly, but ridiculous war.
