President Donald Trump stated that at the White House that in order to put an end to the war in Ukraine President Zelensky will need to accept certain demands made by Russia just before crucial negotiations between Zelensky and a sizable group of European leaders.
These requirements include two primary points: Ukraine must never join NATO and cede Crimea to Russia which Russia did in 2014. These are also the terms that Russian President Vladimir Putin has set for the wars conclusion. Concerns have been raised by European leaders that will accompany Zelensky to the White House on Monday that Trump may put pressure on Zelensky to agree to Putins demands from the Alaska summit.
Tomorrow is an honor for me to host so many European leaders at the White House. European leaders are asking Trump what Russia might give up in a peace agreement and how the US will help ensure Ukraines security going forward. Tomorrow is a big day at the White House Trump wrote in a message to Zelensky. It is the first time that so many European leaders have united. To host them is a privilege for me.
