New Delhi: Though heavy rains are creating havoc across the country, the monsoon is playing hide and seek in Delhi NCR. Some day there are heavy rains, the other day it is all drought, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
But now India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow alert for heavy rains in Delhi, Noida Greater, Noida, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, Faridabad as well as the entire Delhi NCR from today onwards.
Infact IMD has issued a forecast of continuous rain till July 1, but at present the people of Delhi NCR are longing for heavy rain and monsoon. The weather office further predicts the winds at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour.
The minimum temperature in New Delhi today can be 32.2 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature can be 40.5 degrees Celsius. According to the 6-day weather forecast in New Delhi, Delhi is expected to have 40.5 degrees Celsius today on Thursday, 40.7 degrees Celsius tomorrow on Friday, 37.6 degrees Celsius the day after tomorrow on Saturday, 30.2 degrees Celsius on Sunday, 35.8 degrees Celsius on Monday and 35.4 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.

Though all the predictions of IMD and Sky Weather Private Limited are repeatedly being wrong, 27 June is the normal date for the monsoon to arrive in Delhi NCR, but scientists believe that there may be rain today or tomorrow.
Srinagar: The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy to very heavy rains in Jammu division during the next 48 hours. An orange alert has been issued for this. There is a risk of floods and cloudbursts in the plains.
The water level of rivers and streams may suddenly rise, so people have been advised not to enter them. Partial effect of rain will be seen in Srinagar. Cold winds have been said to blow in high altitude areas here.

During the last 24 hours, heavy rain has occurred in three districts of Jammu division. These include 109 mm rain in Katra of Reasi, 12-12 mm rain in Banihal and Batot of Ramban. Four mm rain has been recorded in Jammu and three mm in Qazikund. Light rain has occurred in Kashmir.
After the alert from the Meteorological Department, the Disaster Management Authority has instructed the administration to remain alert. The Public Works Department has been asked to keep its machinery ready. It has also been advised to sound sirens to alert people about floods on the banks of rivers and streams.
