New Delhi: The Indian Pilots Association (FIP) has objected to the misleading reporting of foreign media regarding the plane crash that took place on June 12 in Ahmedabad. FIP has sent a legal notice to The Wall Street Journal and Reuters. In the notice, both the institutions have been asked to apologize for wrong reporting, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

FIP President CS Randhawa

Indian Pilots Association (FIP) President CS Randhawa said that we have initiated legal action. We have sent a notice to The Wall Street Journal and Reuters on their reports. We have asked them to apologize. In an email sent to Reuters and The Wall Street Journal, FIP said that we have come to know that some sections of the international media are repeatedly trying to make conclusions about plane crash by unverified reporting.

Irresponsible Speculative Information

This accident has shocked the public. This is not the time to create outrage in public about the safety of the Indian aviation industry, especially on the basis of unfounded facts.

FIP said that media organizations should not publish or broadcast any material speculating on the cause of the accident and blaming the deceased pilots without official confirmation and final report. The publication of such speculative information is extremely irresponsible. This has caused serious and irreparable damage to the reputation of the deceased pilots.

Legar Notice To Reuters

The legal notice asked Reuters to stop publishing or broadcasting any material speculating about the cause of the accident or blaming any person, especially the deceased pilots, in the absence of official confirmation and final report. It should immediately review and revise the report published on July 17, 2025. It should include an appropriate disclaimer and remove any content that could be construed as blaming.

Notice Warns

FIP has asked Reuters to issue a clarification. It should acknowledge that the authorities have not issued any final conclusions. This article was based on some reports. The notice warns that please note that failure to act in accordance with this notice may result in resorting to all legal remedies under applicable law for defamation, mental agony and injury to reputation.
