New Delhi: The BJP's victory in Bengal is historic. Its chief strategist has been Union Home Minister Amit Shah. In the run-up to the Bengal elections, Shah remained camped in the state for 15 days. By day, he conducted rallies and roadshows; by night, he reviewed every single constituency, personally overseeing the micro-management of the campaign.

Reflecting on the victory, Shah stated that Bengal has taught a fitting lesson to infiltrators and their sympathizers. He asserted that political parties relying on the politics of appeasement would not soon forget this lesson. Shah pledged that the BJP would build a 'Sonar Bangla' (Golden Bengal). Standing alongside Shah were five other leaders who held the line on every front.

Shah's 5 Stalwarts

Dharmendra Pradhan: The Balancer

Education Minister Pradhan maintained a delicate balance across various social and caste groups. He served as the crucial link between the central leadership and the state unit.

Bhupender Yadav: The Micro-Manager

Environment Minister Yadav oversaw the organizational micro-management. He mobilized party workers down to the booth level and handled complex legal issues, significantly bolstering the party's strength at the grassroots.

Sunil Bansal: Challenging the TMC Cadre

The BJP General Secretary challenged the TMC's formidable cadre by establishing a robust network of party workers through the 'Panna Pramukh' (voter-list page in-charge) model. He played a pivotal role in resolving internal dissent within the party.

Drawing upon feedback received from every assembly constituency over the past four years, the party systematically addressed its weaknesses. They also took to the streets to agitate against the Mamata government on key grassroots issues.

Biplab Deb: The Aggressive Campaigner

The former Chief Minister of Tripura focused his efforts on regions that share cultural affinities with his home state. Through his aggressive campaigning style, he infused the party cadre with renewed energy and vigor.

Amit Malviya: The IT Cell Strategist

The head of the BJP's IT Cell spearheaded the battle of narratives. Leveraging social media platforms, he amplified various issues on a massive scale and provided an effective counter-response to the opposition's propaganda machinery.
