New Delhi: A massive fire broke out late Monday night at the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) staff quarters in Adarsh Nagar, Delhi. Three members of the same family died in the blaze. The deceased were identified as 42-year-old Ajay Vimal, his wife, 38-year-old Neelam, and their 10-year-old daughter, Janhavi. Upon receiving the information, the local administration and fire department swung into action.
According to fire department officials, they received a call about the fire at the control room around 2:39 a.m. Six fire tenders were rushed to the scene immediately after receiving the call and the firefighting operation began. The fire spread rapidly in the initial stages, causing panic throughout the apartment.

Police have sent the bodies of the deceased for post-mortem examination and initiated an investigation.
