North India Braces for Rising Temperatures
New Delhi: The weather in Delhi-NCR remains dry at present, and the heat is expected to intensify in the coming days. According to the Meteorological Department, there is no forecast of rain for the next three days, but strong surface winds will continue to blow. The minimum temperature is expected to be 19°C and the maximum 34°C on April 11th. Temperatures may reach 35°C on April 12th and 13th. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 36°C by April 15th.
The weather in Uttar Pradesh will remain hot and dry. Temperatures will steadily rise during the day. However, light rain with thunderstorms may occur in some parts of the eastern region, which may provide some relief.
The heat wave in Rajasthan is currently reaching its peak. Temperatures are expected to exceed 40°C in many areas, and the weather will remain completely dry. Similar conditions will prevail in Ahmedabad, where intense sunlight and heatwave conditions may trouble people.
The weather in Jammu and Kashmir remains relatively cool. The sky is expected to remain cloudy. Light rain is expected in the plains and snowfall in the higher elevations, leading to a drop in temperatures.
Light snowfall is expected in the higher elevations of Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh due to a western disturbance. Light rain accompanied by strong winds is expected in the lower elevations, leading to pleasant weather.
Punjab will experience heat during the day, with strong winds possible in some areas. Light rain accompanied by thunderstorms is also expected in some places.
Overall, the heat wave is expected to intensify in most parts of North India. Light rain and strong winds may bring some relief, but no significant drop in temperatures is expected. Therefore, people are advised to remain vigilant to avoid sun and heat waves.
