Delhi-NCR drops GRAP-3, keeps earlier curbs
New Delhi: Following improved air quality in the National Capital Region (NCR), the Central Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has taken a major decision. The Commission has lifted all restrictions under GRAP Phase 3 with immediate effect from today. However, it has directed that Phase 1 and Phase 2 measures be further intensified to ensure the AQI does not reach 'severe' levels again.

On Wednesday morning, most areas in Delhi recorded an Air Quality Index (AQI) ranging from 'very poor' to 'severe'. A layer of toxic smog lingered in some parts of the city since morning.
According to the data of Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) at 7 am, AQI was recorded at 363 in Anand Vihar, 361 in Ashok Vihar, 345 in Alipur, 306 in Aya Nagar, 382 in Bawana, 346 in Burari, 345 in Chandni Chowk, 367 in DTU, 359 in Dwarka.
