New Delhi: A thick cloud of ash from Ethiopia's recently erupted Haile Gubi volcano has disrupted air operations at Delhi Airport. Several international flights were cancelled and more than 10 international flights were delayed between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. on Tuesday. Air India has cancelled a total of 13 flights since Monday.
The volcanic ash cloud has affected incoming and outgoing international flights at Delhi Airport. An official said seven international flights were cancelled and 12 others were delayed. Indira Gandhi International Airport is the country's busiest airport, handling more than 1,500 flights daily.
