New Delhi: While the whole country is busy preparing for the Independence Day celebrations on August 15, the Indian Army is using cutting-edge technologies to protect the country's borders. To further strengthen security on the Line of Control (LoC), the Army has developed a three-tier security system that includes several of the latest technological solutions.
For patrolling in inaccessible areas, the army has deployed all-terrain vehicles that can move easily on any type of ground. This has significantly improved the mobility of the soldiers.
The army has also made extensive use of drones and quadcopters to enhance surveillance capabilities. These devices can transmit high-quality video and data in real time. Night vision technology has further strengthened security at night, making clear surveillance possible even in the dark.
Another notable achievement of the Indian Army is the robotic mule developed under the 'Make in India' initiative. These special robots can perform various military tasks in dangerous areas. Their specialty is that they are able to work in groups, thereby creating a small robot army. These robots can perform many tasks, from carrying heavy goods to detecting explosives.
The smart fencing system has revolutionized border security. This system is much more effective than traditional barbed wire, which is fitted with advanced sensors, high-tech cameras, and radar systems. The system is capable of 24-hour surveillance and immediately detects any suspicious activity and alerts the security forces. The system has been successfully demonstrated in the Sunderbani sector of the Rajouri district.
This is the first Independence Day after Operation Sindoor when all these technologies are being fully utilized. Army spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Sunil Bartwal said that along with this technical equipment, the courage and dedication of our soldiers is also no less. Even in harsh conditions, our soldiers are deployed to defend the country with full readiness.
These technological upgrades have significantly increased the capabilities of the Indian Army and have taken border security to a new level. This is clear evidence of India's growing technological capability and self-reliance.
