Karnataka: Car-truck collision takes 5 lives of same family in Dharwad

Bengaluru: At least five people killed in an accident between a car-truck near Ingalhalli village on National Highway 218 in Dharwad district on Tuesday.

According to officers from the Hubballi Rural Police Station rushed to the scene and shifted the bodies to KMC RI Hospital in Hubballi.

With all five occupants of the car dead, it was initially challenging for the police to gather details about the victims.

However, it was later confirmed that a family traveling from Sagara to Bagalkot met with the tragic accident near Kusugal, close to Ingalahalli Cross.

All the deceased were residents of Sagara in the Shivamogga district and have been identified as Shweta (29), Anjali (26), Sandeep (26), Vitthal (55), and Shashikala (40).

At least six people were killed when a car collided with a bike in Madanpur police station area in Shahjahanpur district on Monday night, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

According to sources four youths were riding on a bike on way to attend a wedding ceremony, while it collided with a Eco car. All the four bike riders died while two people who were in the car died and one other got injured.

The four bikers who lost their life in the accident have been indentified as Akash, Abhishek, Dinesh and Ravi, residents of Nazarpur of Tilhar police station area.

According to reports the accident happened near Barkheda Jaipal petrol pump in Madanpur police station area when the high speed bike collided with the car.

Police reached the spot and sent the bodies for postmortem. The injured has been admitted to the hospital.

Deceased Families Under Shock

After the accident a shock wave has gripped the area. An unexplained chaos is there in the families of the deceased.

Police has registered a case. Further investigation is going on.

Earlier Incident

A couple of days ago a high speed container ran over bike riding couple and children in Moradabad in which a mother and her child were killed.

The accident occurred in front of MI Hospital located near Sirsima crossroad post of Bhojpur police station area, where a high speed container ran over a bike riding family on Sunday afternoon. In this tragic accident, the woman and her one and a half year old innocent son died on the spot, while the husband and elder son were seriously injured.
