New Delhi: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has given a big statement regarding the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.

She launched a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Congress and bluntly said that in this difficult time, all political parties should forget their differences and stand with the government, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

She also said that dirty politics should not be done through rhetoric and posters, because it is not right in the national interest and it creates confusion among the public.

Mayawati posted on the social media platform 'X' (formerly Twitter) and wrote that all political parties should unite and support the steps of the central government on a serious matter like the Pahalgam terrorist attack.

Doing politics on such incidents is reprehensible. She especially advised the SP and the Congress not to try to take political advantage of this issue.

Apart from this, Mayawati also accused the SP and the Congress of insulting Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar in another post. She said that any kind of insult to the architect of the Indian Constitution, Param Pujya Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, will not be tolerated.

She warned that if the SP and Congress continue to do so, the Bahujan Samaj Party will come out on the streets and protest against it.

It is worth noting that on April 22, terrorists attacked tourists in Pahalgam, Kashmir, in which 26 people were shot dead.

There is a possibility of this attack being linked to Pakistan. There has been a lot of anger across the country since then. At the same time, Congress, targeting the government, released a poster called 'Sir Gayab,' which was later removed.

After the attack, tension between India and Pakistan has increased further. Pakistan fired on the LoC without any provocation for the sixth consecutive day, to which the Indian Army gave a befitting reply.

Firing took place from around 8:30 to 9:00 pm. Local citizens said that they were busy with their work when they were informed about the firing and asked to return home.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a free hand to the Indian Army. The issue is expected to be discussed seriously in the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday and a possible CCS (Cabinet Committee on Security) meeting later.

A tough strategy against terrorism will be finalized in this. Other agencies, including the NIA, are engaged in the investigation and have questioned more than 100 people so far.

The Jammu and Kashmir government has temporarily closed 48 tourist places for security reasons.

The property of Imtiyaz Ahmed Kandu, a terrorist associated with Hizbul Mujahideen, has also been seized. The search for the attackers in Pahalgam continued for the seventh consecutive day, and security forces are conducting extensive search operations.
