Phalgam: According to Dynamite News correspondent, two to three terrorists have attacked the entire group of tourists. The terrorists fired about 50 rounds of bullets for 5 minutes, so the number of dead and injured could be even higher.
There were about two to three terrorists who fired from AK-47 and other assault rifles from three directions.
Over 50 rounds were fired in a well-planned attack. Intelligence sources indicate that the area was thoroughly recce'd. The terrorists targeted food stalls and shops while firing.
Before the shooting occurred, tourists were identified by their religion, asked for their names, and required to present Aadhar cards.
It has also been told that some people were treated inhumanly, then they were shot. After this, the terrorists fled towards the forest, from where their hiding is believed to be possible.
At present, multiple teams are engaged in the operation, which includes Special Forces commandos, Indian Army officers, Jammu and Kashmir Police's SOG and CRPF personnel. The operation is being conducted aggressively.
One of the injured has been admitted to the Military Base Hospital, which has confirmed that firing was done after asking about religion and identity.
Firing was done in small groups, so that more people could be killed and terror could spread more.
This time the terrorists did not have any backpacks or other items, which makes it clear that the overground workers had given them all the information and support in advance.
