Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav launched a strong attack on the BJP government and the Election Commission in Mainpuri, raising concerns over voter deletion, budget policies, social division, Chinese imports, and the India–U.S. trade deal, while reaffirming support for Mamata Banerjee.
Sharp political statements set the tone
New Delhi: The political atmosphere in Mainpuri has heated up once again, with debates intensifying around democracy, elections, and constitutional institutions. Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav launched a strong attack on the central government and the Election Commission, raising multiple issues that directly question the intentions of those in power. Her statements reflect growing opposition pressure ahead of upcoming electoral battles.
After a meeting with party officials regarding the SIR process, Dimple Yadav accused the BJP of deliberately deleting voters’ names as part of a larger conspiracy. She alleged that the Election Commission is behaving in a biased manner and acting like a political ally of the BJP rather than an independent constitutional authority.
She further warned that the additional one-month period granted for the voter deletion process must be closely monitored, as it could seriously damage democratic principles if misused. According to her, voter disenfranchisement poses a direct threat to free and fair elections.
Responding to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s call for impeachment of the Election Commission, Dimple Yadav made it clear that the Samajwadi Party stands firmly with her. She emphasized that while the Election Commission is meant to be a neutral constitutional institution, its alleged discriminatory actions are undermining the spirit of the Constitution. She said the entire opposition would unite to resist any such erosion of democratic values.

She argued that there is nothing in the budget that brings happiness or financial security to ordinary families. According to her, the government appears completely disconnected from ground realities and everyday struggles faced by citizens.
On the controversy surrounding the film “Ghooskhor Pandit”, Dimple Yadav accused the BJP government of promoting discrimination in society. She claimed that such films are being made deliberately to deepen social divides and questioned the political motives behind encouraging such narratives.
