New Delhi: On Thursday, Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, led a group of MPs from the INDIA bloc to Gandhi Smriti in Central Delhi. They went there to honour the memory of students who took their own lives after the reported NEET-UG paper leak. This visit was also to support and stand with students who are protesting the examination controversy.
Before going to Gandhi Smriti on Tees January Marg, top Congress and INDIA bloc leaders gathered at 5, Sunehri Bagh Road, the home of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge was also with them.
Delhi Police set up roadblocks around Rahul Gandhi's home. Several police vehicles and barricades stopped the three buses carrying MPs from the Opposition. The buses were later allowed to go to Gandhi Smriti.
The roadblocks happened during a time of tight security in Delhi. This is due to big protests because of the NEET-UG paper leak and Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)-led protests.

According to the Opposition, the Gandhi Smriti visit was organised to honour the memory of students who allegedly ended their lives after the NEET-UG paper leak and to stand in support of those injured during the ongoing protests.
INDIA bloc has continued to demand accountability over the alleged examination irregularities, while also raising concerns over the police action against protesters. The visit by Rahul Gandhi and other Opposition leaders adds to the growing political pressure surrounding the NEET-UG paper leak controversy.
