Rajasthan: Magic of Flamingos return to Sambhar Lake in Jaipur creating a vibrant pink panorama

Jaipur: Millions of foreign and domestic migratory birds, including Flamingos in winter have begun arriving at Sambhar Lake. They can be seen flying over the lake in droves turning the whole ambience into a spectacular pink panorama.

These migratory birds start floricking here from late October and stay here till March creating an extraordinarily beautiful.

Every year millions of migratory birds arrive here. These birds include flamingos, pelicans, shovelers, waders, common cranes, pintails, bar-headed geese, grey leg geese, tufted ducks, and peregrine falcons. These birds normally migrate from colder regions including Russia, Siberia, and Mongolia to escape the tough winter conditions and come to India.
