New Delhi: On the occasion of Republic Day 2026, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced a major convenience for commuters. On Monday, January 26, services on all Delhi Metro lines will begin earlier than usual, at 3:00 am. This decision was taken specifically to facilitate spectators attending the grand Republic Day parade at Kartavya Path.
According to the DMRC, trains will run at 15-minute intervals on all metro lines from 3:00 am to 6:00 am. After 6:00 am, metro services will operate according to their normal schedule throughout the day. This will ensure no inconvenience to parade-goers or everyday commuters.

The Delhi Metro administration has urged passengers to plan their travels in advance. Maximizing early metro services will save time and make reaching the venue easier. Passengers attending the parade are especially advised to arrive at the station well in advance.
Parking facilities will be available at all stations across the Delhi Metro network on Republic Day. Passengers traveling to the metro station in their private vehicles will be able to park there and continue their journey by metro. This will significantly reduce traffic congestion within the city.
