The old post included a photo with the caption: “Kab tak zindagi kaatoge cigarette, bidi aur cigar mein? Kuch din toh guzaro Delhi-NCR mein." Along with pollution, temperatures in Delhi have also dropped. On Saturday, the capital's minimum temperature was 11 degrees Celsius, three degrees below normal. The maximum temperature was recorded at 28.6 degrees Celsius, almost a degree below normal.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the drop in temperatures traps pollutants closer to the ground, further worsening air quality.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board's standards-
0 to 50: Good
51 to 100: Satisfactory
101 to 200: Moderate
201 to 300: Poor
301 to 400: Very Poor
401 to 500: Severe
Currently, Delhi's AQI of 335 falls in the 'very poor' category, which is extremely harmful to public health.

Health experts have advised that people wear masks, limit outdoor activities, and use air purifiers at this level of pollution. Children, the elderly, and those suffering from respiratory illnesses have been advised to take special precautions.
Rising pollution and falling temperatures in the capital have made breathing difficult for Delhiites, and there are no clear signs of improvement at the moment.
