New Delhi: The second phase of Parliament Budget Session began with a loud protest by the Opposition.

Opposition Parties raised slogans against the government in the Parliament complex over several issues, including India's stance on the Middle East war.

Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar made a statement in the Rajya Sabha regarding the Iran-Israel war. He said that Indian students in Iran received assistance from the embassy and that people were evacuated from Iran via Armenia. He said that he is committed to helping Indians. During Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar's statement in the Rajya Sabha, opposition members created a ruckus and walked out.

Angered by the government's attitude, opposition MPs held a large banner and raised slogans against the government, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the Parliament complex. Opposition MPs chanted, "PM Modi has compromised, he has compromised," and "Surrender, he has surrendered."

Parliamentarians from various opposition parties, including Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, and SP MP Dharmendra Yadav, participated in the protest. A large number of women MPs from opposition parties also participated in the demonstration.

As the Lok Sabha began its proceedings in the second phase of the Budget Session, N.K. Premachandran, who took the Chair, informed the House of the passing of Dr. Ricky Andrew, a sitting Member of Parliament from Shillong, Meghalaya, and four former members, and paid tribute to the departed members.
