Lucknow: Monsoon has become fully active in Uttar Pradesh and heavy rain and humidity continues in many parts of the state. According to the latest report of the Meteorological Department, heavy rain with thunder is likely at different places in the western and eastern parts of the state on 12 July, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
After the rain in various districts of the state on Friday, people have got relief from the humid heat, but problems like waterlogging and power cuts have also come to the fore.

The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rain on Saturday, especially in Banda, Chitrakoot, Fatehpur, Sonbhadra, Kanpur Dehat and Kanpur Nagar. There is also a possibility of lightning along with strong winds in these districts. Apart from this, heavy rain may also occur in surrounding areas including Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi and Lalitpur.
At the same time, there is a possibility of rain with thunder in districts like Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Jaunpur, Prayagraj, Mirzapur and Pratapgarh in eastern Uttar Pradesh. Incidents of lightning are also possible in these areas, due to which people have been advised to remain alert.

There is a possibility of thunderstorms and light to moderate rain in many intermediate districts including Kannauj, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Unnao, Amethi, Sultanpur. At the same time, warning of rain and lightning has been issued in many districts including Meerut, Ghaziabad, Noida (Gautam Buddha Nagar), Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Agra, Firozabad in western Uttar Pradesh.

Meteorologists said that this series of rains may continue in the state for the next few days. Between July 13 and July 17, many districts may receive continuous rain and thundershowers. During this time, problems like waterlogging and flooding may arise in low-lying areas.
The Meteorological Department has appealed to people to keep an eye on the weather information and not to leave the house unnecessarily, especially when there is a possibility of thunder and lightning. Farmers have been advised to work in the fields keeping in mind the weather conditions.
