The city has implemented strict security measures, traffic restrictions, and parking bans to ensure safety. Police have set up a five-tier security system, rerouted heavy vehicles and buses, and requested citizens to follow alternative routes.
Five-Tier Security Deployed Ahead of PM Modi’s Visit
Coimbatore: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be attending the Organic Farmers' Conference in Coimbatore on 19 November. Extensive security arrangements and major traffic changes have been made in the city for this occasion. Police have implemented a five-tier security system and special checkpoints have been put in place at the airport and major roads in anticipation of the Prime Minister's visit.
BJP State General Secretary AP Muruganantham, District President J Ramesh Kumar, North District President Karumari Muthu, Nilgiris District President Dharman, and South District President Chandrasekhar visited the Codissia campus. They reviewed preparations at the venue and ensured that security and arrangements were in place.

The Coimbatore City Police have released a detailed plan for the traffic changes. Under this, the routes of heavy vehicles and buses will be changed from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm on 19 November.
Buses and heavy vehicles entering the city:
Buses and heavy vehicles coming from Salem, Erode, and Tiruppur will not be able to enter the city via the airport route from Nilambur. Instead, they will have to enter the city via the L&T Bypass from Nilambur, via Chintamanipadur, Ondiputhur, and Singanallur.
Vehicles leaving the city:
Buses and heavy vehicles coming from Avinashi Road will take a U-turn at Lakshmi Mill Junction and proceed via Puliakulam, Ramanathapuram, and Singanallur to reach their destination via the L&T Bypass.
Light vehicles:
Light vehicles coming from the Nilambur area will enter the city via Thottipalayam, Kaikolapalliam, Kalapatti Naal Road, and Vilankurichi.
Vehicles and taxis will be prohibited from entering the airport from 12:00 pm to 15:00 pm on 19 November. Passengers are requested to arrive at the airport before 12:00 pm.

Parking of four-wheelers and two-wheelers is prohibited at Coimbatore International Airport from November 16th to 19th. Police have removed vehicles already parked in the parking lot. Avinashi Road and the GT Naidu Flyover will be closed on November 19th during the passage of security vehicles.
Police have requested the public and motorists to follow traffic diversions, take alternative routes, and plan their travel times accordingly. For security reasons, visitors will be allowed entry only after the inauguration of the event.
Prime Minister Modi will arrive in Coimbatore at 10 am, and five layers of security have been deployed across the city. The visit focuses on organic farmers and agricultural development.
