The rivalry between Bangladesh and Afghanistan has grown rapidly. Since 2014, they have clashed with each other five times in the Asia Cup across ODI and T20 formats.
Afghanistan lead the way with three wins, while Bangladesh have won twice. Bangladesh's wins include a memorable close one in 2018, while Afghanistan's wins include a stunning victory in 2022.
Abu Dhabi has favoured batsmen in the Asia Cup so far, but bowlers have also found favour with pitches. Temperatures are expected to be high. The average first innings score at this ground has been around 135, and the team winning the toss will prefer to bowl first.
