Doha: The Senior Men's Selection Committee has announced the India 'A' team for the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025. This prestigious tournament will be played at the West End International Cricket Stadium in Doha, Qatar, from November 14 to 23, 2025.
The team will be led by experienced wicketkeeper-batsman Jitesh Sharma, with Naman Dhir as vice-captain. The selectors have assembled a balanced mix of experienced players and young talent in the squad. This year's tournament will be held in the T20 format, and the match against Pakistan will be the biggest attraction for India.
As per the group stages, Group B will consist of India, Pakistan, Oman, and the UAE. The high-voltage match for cricket fans will be played on November 16, 2025. Both semi-finals of the tournament will be held on November 21st, while the final is scheduled for Sunday, November 23rd.

The Rising Stars Asia Cup began in 2013. It was initially held as an Under-23 tournament, but was later converted into an 'A' team competition. In the six editions so far, Pakistan and Sri Lanka have won the title twice each, while India and Afghanistan have won once each. The current champion is Afghanistan, having defeated Sri Lanka in 2024.
This year, the 'A' teams of five Test-playing nations – India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan – are participating in the tournament. Additionally, three associate nations – Hong Kong, Oman, and the UAE – will field their main teams.
Key players included in the team are: Priyansh Arya, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Nehal Wadhera, Naman Dhir (vice-captain), Suryansh Shej, Jitesh Sharma (captain and wicketkeeper), Ramandeep Singh, Harsh Dubey, Ashutosh Sharma, Yash Thakur, Gurjapneet Singh, Vijay Kumar Vaishya, Yudhvir Singh Charak, Abhishek Porel (wicketkeeper), and Suyash Sharma.
