

India sealed a dominant 7 wicket win over West Indies in the second Test at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium, completing a 2-0 series sweep. The victory also marked Shubman Gill’s first Test series win as captain.

New Delhi: The second match of the two-Test series between India and West Indies was played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Team India performed brilliantly in every department and defeated West Indies by 7 wickets. While the Indian batsmen piled up runs in the first innings, the bowlers broke the back of the opposition team.
With this victory, India won the series 2-0 and registered गूे first Test series win under the leadership of captain Shubman Gill. This victory under Gill's captaincy is being seen as a strong start for the Indian team.

In this match, Indian captain Shubman Gill won the toss and decided to bat first. India declared at 518/5. Yashasvi Jaiswal (175) and Shubman Gill (129) scored centuries in the first innings. Sai Sudharshan scored 87 runs. Meanwhile, India bowled out the West Indies for 248 runs in the first innings. Kuldeep Yadav took five wickets in the first innings. India took a lead of 270 runs. As a result, India enforced the follow-on. However, the West Indies scored 390 runs in the second innings.
In second innings of team India, KL Rahul once again displayed a superb batting performance. He scored 58 runs off 108 balls, including six fours and two sixes. Rahul also hit the winning shot for Team India.
John Campbell scored 115 and Shai Hope scored 103. It was Campbell's first Test century, making him the first West Indies batsman to score a century in India since 2002. Hope scored his first century since 2017. Roston Chase (40), Justin Greaves (50), and Jayden Seales (32) helped West Indies score 390 in their second innings, setting India a target of 121 runs.

Chasing a target of 121, Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed for 8, but KL Rahul and Sai Sudarshan steadied the team with a 79-run partnership. Sudarshan was dismissed for 39 on the final day, while Shubman Gill made 13. KL Rahul remained unbeaten on 58 and Dhruv Jurel on 6. India won the match by 7 wickets and won the series 2-0.
