IPL 2026 Auction: BCCI Announces Final Shortlist of 350 Players
Mumbai: The BCCI has officially announced the final list of players for the IPL 2026 mini-auction. A total of 350 players have been shortlisted, including 240 Indian and 110 overseas players. The auction will be held in Abu Dhabi on December 16.
The biggest highlight this year is that a total of 77 slots are available for the franchises, with 31 slots reserved for overseas players. The total prize pool is set at ₹237.55 crore, with Kolkata Knight Riders having the largest budget of ₹64.3 crore.

The biggest surprise in the auction list was the inclusion of Australian all-rounder Cameron Green and South Africa's Quinton de Kock. De Kock was initially not included in the list, but he was added to the final list at the request of a franchise.
Clubs will be keeping a close eye on players who have set their base price at ₹2 crore. This category includes 40 players, including Cameron Green, Venkatesh Iyer, Matheesha Pathirana, David Miller, Rachin Ravindra, and Steve Smith.
This year's list includes a total of 224 uncapped Indian and 14 uncapped overseas players. Additionally, 9 players are listed at a base price of ₹1.5 crore, 4 players at ₹1.25 crore, 17 players at ₹1 crore, and 42 players at ₹75 lakh.
227 players have set their base price at ₹30 lakh. Furthermore, there are 4 and 7 players at base prices of ₹50 lakh and ₹40 lakh respectively.
Kolkata Knight Riders have the largest budget of ₹64.3 crore, while Chennai Super Kings have ₹43.4 crore and Sunrisers Hyderabad have ₹25.5 crore. A total of 71 players were released last month, including 32 overseas players. Among them were prominent names like Andre Russell and Matheesha Pathirana. Russell later announced his retirement from the IPL and joined the coaching staff at KKR.
