Lucknow: Samajwadi Party Supremo and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav on Monday rained fires on the Uttar Pradesh Government for being the "No. 1" state in atrocities against Dalits, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
SP Chief asked why Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled states like Rajasthan, MP, Bihar, Odisha, Maharashtra have been consistently "responsible for most attacks on Dalits," especially Dalit women.
"UP has become No. 1 in the case of atrocities on Dalits during the BJP government. The question is why only the states like UP, Rajasthan, MP, Bihar, Odisha, Maharashtra, which are ruled by the BJP, are responsible for the most attacks on Dalits and crimes against Dalits, especially in the cases of harassment and misbehaviour of Dalit women," he said.
Akhilesh Yadav took to Social Media and wrote in a post on X that 'UP has become number 1 in the matter of atrocities on Dalits during the BJP government. The question is why only those states like UP, Rajasthan, MP, Bihar, Odisha, Maharashtra, which are ruled by BJP, are responsible for most of the attacks on Dalits and crimes against Dalits, especially in the cases of harassment and misbehavior of Dalit women.

'BJP is basically a party of traditional hegemons and the basic thinking of the hegemonic BJP is feudal, in which there is nothing but humiliation and disgrace for the poor, deprived, Dalits, backwards, minorities, half the population (women) and tribals. In their mind, psyche and conduct, BJP people are living with the same thinking of the pre-independence era. That is why BJP people are also against the Constitution because in BJP, only a few special people always occupy the key positions in the organization and the government and the rest of the work like running around, carrying sticks, flags, banners and carpets is given to others. In BJP, a Dalit or a backward person may get a designation but never a 'padmaan'. Elections are fought in their name but they are not given any other post, leave alone the post of Chief Minister. If someone really listens to his conscience, then he should neither be oppressed nor insulted by such people, it is a different matter that he is compromising due to his selfishness and greed.
'Today's Dalits say, we don't want BJP!'
