Maharajganj: A major stir was created in the district on Tuesday morning when the Income Tax Department carried out a large-scale raid at Shubham Hero Motorcycle Agency located in the Satbhariya area on Gorakhpur Road. Around 6:40 AM, a team of nearly a dozen officials from Lucknow reached the site and took full control of the agency premises, launching a thorough investigation that, at the time of reporting, had been ongoing for over ten hours.
As the raid commenced, the main gate of the agency was locked from inside. Employees and customers present at the location were asked to step outside. Only one or two customers, whose bike servicing was already in progress, were allowed to remain inside. All movement within the premises was restricted, while PAC security personnel were deployed outside, ensuring strict security in the surrounding area.
