New Delhi: A video of veteran actor Dharmendra getting emotional while bidding farewell to his daughter Esha Deol is going viral on fan clubs and social media. The video is from 2012 and has now been re-shared by fans after his death (November 24).
In the video, Dharmendra can be seen becoming emotional as he embraces his daughter Esha and struggles to bid her farewell. He tears up several times and tries to control himself while bidding her farewell. Meanwhile, Hema Malini, standing nearby, watches this emotional moment between her and her husband.

Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani married on June 29, 2012. After eleven years of marriage, the couple announced their separation in February 2024. They said in a joint statement, "We have mutually and amicably decided to separate. The well-being of our two children is paramount during this transition. We request respect for our privacy."

Three days after Dharmendra death, his sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol organized a prayer meeting at the Taj Lands End Hotel in Mumbai on November 27. His cousin Abhay Deol and several other prominent celebrities, including Salman Khan, Rekha, Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan, Aryan Khan, Siddharth Malhotra, and Sunil Shetty, were present.

However, Hema Malini and her daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol did not attend the meeting. Instead, Hema Malini organized a Gita recitation at her home and offered prayers in memory of her late husband.
Dharmendra passed away at his Mumbai home on November 24. He was 89 years old. He was first hospitalized on October 31 due to breathing problems and was discharged on November 12.
His final film on screen will be Sriram Raghavan's upcoming film "Ekkis," in which he plays Agrestya Nanda's father. The film will be released on December 25.
