Patna: The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) held a key meeting in Delhi regarding the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. BJP President JP Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Chirag Paswan, Jitan Ram Manjhi, Upendra Kushwaha, and other senior leaders attended the meeting. A near-final consensus on seat-sharing has been reached. According to reports, a new formula will now be implemented within the NDA.

Who Will Contest How Many Seats?

The meeting has finalized the approximate number of seats, which could be as follows:

BJP – 100 seats

JDU – 101 seats

Chirag Paswan's LJP (Ram Vilas) – 26 seats

Hum (Jitan Ram Manjhi) – 8 seats

RLM (Upendra Kushwaha) – 5 seats

A total of 243 assembly seats have been agreed upon between these NDA constituents.

Announcement Expected Shortly

Although this agreement has not yet been formally announced, according to BJP sources, the final list will be released today via a press conference. The meeting was held at JP Nadda's residence, and was also attended by Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary.

What Is Opposition's Strategy?

Meanwhile, no final announcement has been made by the RJD and Congress alliance. It is reported that a final meeting will be held between these two parties soon, after which their seat allocations will be announced.

Making the election even more interesting, Mayawati's Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Asaduddin Owaisi's AIMIM are also putting in their best efforts. Mayawati has announced that she will field candidates on all seats, while Owaisi, with his significant influence in the Seemanchal region, could also play a key role.

The NDA's seat-sharing agreement is seen as a decisive step in the Bihar elections. All eyes are now on the opposition's strategy and candidate list. Political equations could change rapidly in the coming days.
