Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed officials to make comprehensive arrangements for the successful hosting of the Miss World 2025 pageant, scheduled to take place from May 10 to 31.

Chairing a high-level review meeting at the Command Control Centre on Monday, the Chief Minister emphasised the importance of showcasing Telangana’s culture and hospitality to the international audience.

CM A Revanth Reddy Stated

Highlighting the global significance of the event, Revanth Reddy stated that the Miss World 2025 celebrations would serve as a platform to introduce Telangana’s heritage and potential to the world. He instructed officials to provide flawless hospitality to contestants from 116 countries, as well as to approximately 3,000 media representatives from India and abroad covering the event.

He called for stringent security measures and cultural sensitivity in welcoming international guests, ensuring that Telangana’s traditions are reflected in every aspect of the organisation.

Chief Minister Directed

The Chief Minister directed all departments, including tourism, police, and municipal bodies, to work in coordination, appointing nodal officers for each scheduled program.

Revanth Reddy underscored the need for smooth execution of events — from the grand inauguration at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium on May 10 to the finale on May 31.

He ordered necessary arrangements for contestants visiting iconic locations such as Charminar, Laad Bazaar, Telangana Secretariat, and Chowmahalla Palace. Security and transportation should be seamless, he said, adding that contingency plans must be in place to tackle unforeseen situations.

Women’s Empowerment Promotion

The CM also emphasised the promotion of women’s empowerment through the contestants’ visit to Dwacra Bazaar, managed by women under IKP programs. Plans were made to facilitate their attendance at the IPL semi-finals at Uppal Stadium.

He instructed departments to ensure uninterrupted power supply, traffic control, and weather preparedness throughout the event period, especially in Greater Hyderabad.

Hotel Security

Special attention was directed towards the security of hotels accommodating international guests and all event venues. The Chief Minister also proposed inviting public representatives and prominent personalities from various sectors to the inauguration ceremony.

Furthermore, he ordered arrangements to allow students from government residential schools and welfare institutions to witness the celebrations for a day, promoting inclusivity and inspiration.
