Authorities have not yet released a detailed official account of the casualties, but the situation around the consulate remained tense following the clashes.
The protests were sparked by reports that Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader, was killed in coordinated military strikes linked to the United States and Israel.
Several senior Iranian officials were also reported killed in the attacks, including prominent military commanders and government figures in Tehran.
The developments triggered anger across parts of the region, with protests emerging in several areas condemning the strikes.
Iran has vowed retaliation following the killing of its top leadership figures. Authorities in Tehran said they would target American military bases across the Middle East as part of what they described as a “strong and decisive response.”
Reports also indicate that Iranian forces have targeted multiple U.S. military facilities in the region, raising fears of further escalation.

Iran’s Ambassador to India, Mohammad Fathali, criticised the strikes, saying the action demonstrated continued military pressure and aggression despite ongoing diplomatic engagement. As tensions rise, international leaders are closely watching developments to assess whether the crisis will expand further across the region.
