India has issued urgent safety advisories for its citizens in Israel and Iran after military strikes on Tehran heightened regional tensions. Indian embassies urged nationals to remain vigilant, avoid unnecessary travel and follow local safety instructions.

Tehran: Amid rising tensions in West Asia following military strikes on Tehran, the Embassy of India, Tel Aviv has issued a safety advisory for Indian nationals living in Israel.
The advisory urged Indian citizens to stay vigilant and carefully follow instructions issued by Israeli authorities. Officials advised nationals to avoid non-essential travel and remain aware of the evolving security situation.
“In view of the prevailing security situation in the region, all Indian nationals in Israel are advised to exercise utmost caution and remain vigilant at all times,” the embassy said in its statement.
The advisory came shortly after Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz declared an immediate state of emergency across the country following strikes targeting Iran.

Authorities have instructed residents to stay close to designated shelters and follow alerts issued by the Israeli Home Front Command. Indian citizens have also been advised to regularly monitor official announcements and local news updates for safety instructions.
The embassy emphasised that unnecessary movement across the country should be avoided until the situation stabilises.
Indian nationals in Israel have been asked to strictly follow safety guidelines and stay in proximity to protected areas or shelters in their neighbourhoods.
For urgent assistance, the embassy has activated a 24-hour emergency helpline for Indian citizens. Individuals requiring help can contact the Embassy of India, Tel Aviv through its emergency number or email.
Officials also encouraged Indian nationals to remain updated through official platforms and emergency alerts issued by local authorities.
Meanwhile, the Embassy of India, Tehran released a separate advisory for Indian nationals residing in Iran.
The embassy advised Indians to limit movement, remain indoors as much as possible and maintain awareness of developments as the situation continues to evolve.

“In view of the developing situation, all Indian nationals in Iran are advised to exercise utmost caution and avoid unnecessary movements,” the statement said. Citizens were also asked to monitor reliable news sources and wait for further guidance from the embassy.
The advisories follow heightened tensions in the region after military strikes targeted Iran, raising fears of a broader conflict. Authorities in several countries have increased security alerts and airspace monitoring amid concerns over possible escalation.
Indian missions in both countries said they are closely monitoring developments and will continue to issue guidance to ensure the safety of Indian nationals in the region.
