Mahayuti releases manifesto
The Mahayuti manifesto focuses on transportation and women's safety as key issues. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said the alliance aims to increase the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) fleet from approximately 5,000 buses to 10,000.
This includes adopting electric vehicles and providing a 50 percent fare discount for female passengers.
Mumbai to be transformed into an international-level city
In its manifesto, Mahayuti has emphasized strengthening urban infrastructure for the development of Mumbai.
The government has pledged to modernize the drainage and sewerage systems to address the problem of flooding during the monsoon season.
The Mahayuti manifesto also emphasizes 'midi' and 'mini' services to improve last-mile connectivity around metro and railway stations.
Opposition attacks
NCP (Sharad Pawar) leader Supriya Sule launched a scathing attack on the ruling Mahayuti government, claiming that while Thane is projected as a civilized city, water scarcity, garbage dumping sites, and other civic problems remain unresolved.
Sanjay Raut also strongly criticized the BJP. Addressing a gathering, Raut said, "Pune was once a very beautiful city, but today it is known as a city of goons. Whether it's the BJP or Ajit Pawar's party, there is hardly any gang whose relatives haven't been given election tickets by these parties. I once said that if these people had met Dawood, they would have given tickets to his brothers or relatives, including Chhota Shakeel and Chhota Rajan." These people cannot win elections without resorting to thuggery.
