Tension Escalates: BSF Jawan detained by Pakistan Rangers (Image Source: Internet)
New Delhi: Three days, more than 80 hours have passed. But Indian soldier PK Singh is still in Pakistan's custody. Every passing moment is increasing the concern. Every passing second is raising questions.
When will our soldier return? Is Pakistan plotting? Is our soldier being stopped deliberately?
Even after 80 hours have passed, Pakistani Rangers have not released BSF soldier PK Sahu. Even on the third day, BSF officers were waiting for Pakistani Rangers for a flag meeting, but they did not arrive for the meeting. Pakistani Rangers have detained that soldier for the last three days.
According to Dynamite News correspondent, the soldier's wife Rajni Sahu has left for Punjab. The soldier was detained when terrorists killed 26 tourists in Pahalgam. At present, tension between India and Pakistan is at its peak.
Flag Meetings Fail, Family in Tears
BSF jawan PK Sahu was caught by Pakistani Rangers after he inadvertently crossed the international border into Punjab. Now his father Bholenath Sahu said on Friday that the whole family is eagerly waiting for his return.
He said that the commanding officer of the jawan's battalion called him on Thursday night and told that a flag meeting is going on between the BSF and Pakistani Rangers for the safe release of his son.
Bholenath Sahu said, "My son is serving the country, and I am sure that every possible effort is being made for his safe release." He also told that he has not received any information about his son's whereabouts so far.
Sahu came home for Holi and returned to duty three weeks ago. PK Sahu, posted in the 182nd battalion of BSF on the Ferozepur border of Punjab, was detained by Pakistani Rangers on Wednesday.
When Will Pakistan Respond?
According to official sources, the jawan was in uniform at the time of the incident and had a service rifle. Sahu, a resident of Hariswa area of Rishda in Hooghly, was with a group of farmers near the border at that time. When they proceeded to rest under a tree, they inadvertently went into Pakistani territory, where they were caught by the Rangers.
The soldier's wife Rajni lives in Rishda with her seven-year-old son. She has been unconscious since the incident. She told that she last spoke to her husband on Tuesday night. She said, "We all want him to return as soon as possible."
There is already tension between India and Pakistan after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, and now in the meantime, the life of a soldier has come under question.
India has given a strict warning to Pakistan that if the soldier is not returned soon, the consequences will be serious. In 2019, India had bent the whole world to bring back its pilot. Now the question is - will history repeat itself?
Anger and restlessness are increasing with each passing moment. The whole country is asking in one voice - "When will our soldier return?"
