Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said nearly 400 families of terror victims have been provided government jobs so far as part of the administration’s rehabilitation efforts.
The announcement was made during a programme where appointment letters were distributed to the next of kin of victims affected by terrorism.

During the event, the Lieutenant Governor handed over appointment letters to 27 individuals, including relatives of terror victims and deceased government employees. Officials said the initiative aims to provide financial stability and support to families who lost their loved ones in terror-related incidents.
The administration has been implementing several measures to assist affected families and ensure they receive opportunities for rehabilitation.
Sinha emphasised that the government remains committed to ensuring justice for the families who suffered due to terrorism. He stated that the administration is reviewing pending cases related to terror incidents and efforts will be made to reopen them so that those responsible can be held accountable.

According to officials, the government aims to remove the long-standing sense of injustice among victims’ families and provide them with a sense of support and security.
Highlighting the ongoing initiative, Sinha said the administration will continue its efforts until every eligible family receives assistance.
“So far around 400 next of kin have been provided government jobs, and the process will continue until the last deserving family receives justice,” he said. The initiative is part of a broader policy aimed at rehabilitation and support for victims of terrorism in the region.
