Cockroach Janata Party to stage peaceful protest in Delhi
New Delhi: The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), which began as an online movement following a viral incident, is evolving into a distinctive political organization. On Wednesday, the party appointed three official spokespersons, Saurabh Das, Vijeta Dahiya, and Ashutosh Ranka- signaling its intent to play a more formal role in India’s political discourse.
Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the CJP, announced that he will return to India on June 6 to lead a peaceful protest in Delhi. The protest demands the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, citing examination irregularities that have caused distress to millions of students across the country.
Adding weight to the movement, renowned social activist Sonam Wangchuk stated that he will join the protest if Pradhan does not resign by June 5. Wangchuk urged the youth involved to maintain non-violence while voicing their concerns, emphasizing that the Education Minister should take responsibility for issues such as NEET irregularities and paper leaks.
Dipke affirmed that the protest will be conducted peacefully, under the protections guaranteed by the Indian Constitution for citizens exercising their democratic rights.
Political observers are closely watching the developments, anticipating the scale of the June 6 demonstration and the public response to the CJP’s campaign on education-related accountability.
