Hot Days, Chilly Nights to Continue Till October 18
New Delhi: During the past 24 hours, the weather in Delhi-NCR was quite mixed. The intense sunshine during the day made people feel hot. In many places, people had to resort to air conditioning during the day.
Weather Update: No rain expected till Diwali; dry spell till October 20 brings cheer to farmers
However, as the evening approached, the temperature dropped, and people began to feel cold. Due to the drop in temperature at night, people are feeling chilly, especially those who go out in the morning and evening.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), this weather in Delhi-NCR will continue until October 18. The heat during the day and cold at night will continue.
Maximum temperature: Will remain around 31 degrees Celsius.
Minimum temperature: Will continue to fall, and the cold will increase at night.
Wind speed: Previously 12 km/h, it may now increase to 15 km/h, making evenings feel even colder.
Although temperatures are stable, the reduced wind speed makes even the mild sunlight during the day seem stronger. The lack of wind makes the atmosphere feel warm, causing discomfort. The southwest monsoon is over; the northeast monsoon is arriving.
