This incident occurred near Polish Embassy's gate number 3. The suspect wore a full-face helmet, approached slowly from the opposite direction and grabbed the chain and fled the scene.
The incident created a stir in a highly secure area
The incident took place in Chanakyapuri area, which is considered to be a safe area of the capital, where embassies of many countries are located.
In this case, the police said that Sudha, who lives in Tamil Nadu Bhavan in the area, was out for a morning walk, when unknown people snatched her gold chain and fled from the spot. After the incident, Delhi Police has registered a case and started investigation.

A senior police officer said, 'A case has been registered and investigation is going on. Several police teams have been deployed to trace the accused and investigate the CCTV footage of the surrounding area.'
The police is also talking to eyewitnesses and investigating any suspicious activity in the area at the time of the incident. Officials said that security has been increased in Tamil Nadu Bhavan and surrounding areas.
